Winton House is a historic Victorian farmhouse built in 1856 for a bride who did not want it! Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, in a tiny hamlet, the house overlooks Meon Hill which is steeped in witchcraft and folklore.

 

 

 

 

 

Only 6 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds, Winton House is in a perfect position for walking, cycling and touring. Hidcote Gardens and other National Trust properties are but a short drive. The world famous Warwick Castle is minutes away and a "must" for all with its calendar of events. Our local 16th century village inn was once owned by Henry VIII and serves excellent food.

Luxurious and comfortable accommodation is found in 3 bedrooms with en-suite/private facilities decorated with antique beds, old pine furniture,  handmade quilts, lace and embroidered pillow cases.

Breakfast is a hearty choice of local specialities served with homemade jams and fruit from our own orchard. There is also a "Winton House Special" which is an unusual dish that changes daily. Winner of Heartbeat Award.

Vegetarian dishes are a speciality.

Winton House Cottage is a romantic hideaway for two. The stable, in the farm house grounds, has been converted into a quaint country cottage.

 

 
 

A four poster bed features in a large studio room with colour television, video chairs, pine wardrobe and chest of drawers.
 The bathroom has a bathtub, sink and a separate shower.

There is a south facing garden for guests with a barbecue and picnic table. Car parking is in front of the cottage.


Walking the Heart of England Way or cycling The Greenway (part of the Sustran route) is available from the door. Cycles for hire. 

There are village shops, pub and a Post Office in Lower Quinton A French creperie is nearby.

PRICES from £175 - £295 per week  

 The fully equipped kitchen has an electric cooker and microwave. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There is an antique pine sideboard, table and chairs and oil central heating.

HOW TO FIND US

Directions: Take the A3400, south from Stratford. Approximately one mile down the road, take a right turn on to the B4632 (signposted to Broadway, Mickleton). Carry on for 6 miles, turn left for Upper Quinton. Winton House is then 400 yards on the left.
