Batsford Arboretum
The Arboretum has a distinctly Japanese atmosphere. Designed and planted by Lord Redesdale on his return from a post in the British Embassy in Tokyo. During the last 30 years the second Lord Dulverton has greatly increased the variety of trees, most noticeably the Magnolias and Maples.
Batsford is the kind of place to ramble and relax in but is not suited to conducted tours. Climb to the top of the park and enjoy magnificent views over the Evenlode vale.
Opening Times
March/early November: Daily. 10:00 - 5:00.Telephone: 01608 650722
