South - The Cotswolds
The hills of the Cotswolds of Gloucestershire start just south of Stratford with Chipping Campden being the the first major town. This is the old woollen market town, where woollen merchants traded for hundreds of years.
Further afield discover the delights of Moreton In Marsh, Stow on The Wold, Winchcombe, Stanton and Stanway, The Slaughters, Broadway and Bourton-on-the-Water.
Unaffected by the industrial revolution, you can enjoy old England as it was since the 1700's. The Cotswolds are famous for the honey-blond stone buildings, Chipping Campden is a typical example of the entire district.
